For Bangladeshi citizens, long-term employment in Italy generally requires a National Type-D Employment Visa. The process normally starts with an Italian employer who applies for a Nulla Osta al Lavoro through the Italian immigration authorities under the applicable Decreto Flussi quota or another legally applicable route.
The Italian Government has established the Decreto Flussi 2026–2028, providing a total of 497,550 legal entry quotas for foreign workers over three years. The 2026 allocation is 164,850 entries
